The tale begins with Andrew Barrett, who embarked on a journey from a renowned French bakery, POULIN, clutching a jar of starter dough. Landing in Perth, he established our bakery, drawing upon this esteemed lineage of dough.

Since 2004, this cherished dough has been meticulously nurtured and nourished, imparting a distinctive flavour that has become synonymous with Barrett's Bakery. 

All our breads have a touch of sourdough for wellbeing - offering an all natural, low GI, great for all the family, low salt sugar, low fat, no additives, great fuel for growing bodies, tastes great, vegan and diabetic friendly array of baked goods.
